I am a researcher at the Department of Language Science and Technology at Saarland University and a member of the groups led by Josef van Genabith and Elke Teich. My research interests are related to corpus linguistics, computational linguistics and translation studies.

 

Before moving to the Department of Applied Linguistics and Translation, I worked as a researcher in the Language Technology Lab at DFKI in Saarbrücken, Germany (2007-2011).

 

I received a PhD in Computational Linguistics from Saarland University in 2011 with the thesis Extraction of Ontology Schema Components from Financial News. I was supervised by Hans Uszkoreit and Thierry Declerck from the Language Technology Lab at DFKI in Saarbrücken, Germany. 

I received a Diploma degree in Computational Linguistics in 2005 from Saarland University, and a Licentiate degree in German and English Linguistics in 2001 from West University of Timisoara, Romania.
